HYROX, the global leader in fitness racing, is officially inviting cities around the world to bid for the opportunity to host the HYROX World Championships in either 2026 or 2027.

For the first time ever, cities can now apply to bring this elite sporting event to their destination, with two separate bidding windows available:

• Season 2025/26 World Championships
• Season 2026/27 World Championships

Why Host the HYROX World Championships?

HYROX is one of the fastest-growing sports globally, attracting both elite athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts. Following explosive growth, HYROX is set to welcome over 650,000 participants during the 2024/25 season and is projected to surpass 1 million competitors the following year.

The HYROX World Championships marks the season’s grand finale. Previous hosts include Nice, France and Chicago, USA. The multi-day event features:

• Athlete pre-registration and build-up events
• A high-energy opening ceremony
• Four days of racing across multiple divisions
• Live Elite 15 showdowns broadcast globally
• Sponsor activations and a celebratory closing event

The World Championships attract over 6,000 athletes from more than 80 countries, along with 10,000+ spectators, making it a major driver of economic impact and international exposure for the host city.

What’s Involved in Bidding?

HYROX is seeking two independent host cities for the 2026 and 2027 editions. Selected destinations must provide financial and commercial support and demonstrate the ability to deliver a world-class international sporting event.

Submit Your Bid

The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2025. Cities must first contact HYROX directly to receive an invitation to quote. Final bids must include:

• A completed financial proposal
• Supporting documents
• Details addressing evaluation criteria such as venue suitability, technical infrastructure, and branding opportunities
